BMGA STUDIO IS A LIVERPOOL-BASED DESIGN CONSULTANCY BLENDING ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, SUSTAINABILITY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION. WE ARE A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY DESIGN STUDIO THAT CREATES FUTURE READY WORKSPACES FOR DRIVEN AND CREATIVELY AMBITIOUS COMPANIES.
All projects shown here are part of our strategic concept portfolio. The concepts are developed to explore innovative workplace solutions for modern tech teams. While unbuilt, each is rooted in real-world challenges and emerging trends. We use speculative design not only to push creative boundaries but to test and visualise what’s possible for clients preparing for future modes of work. We aim to help companies express who they are. Whether creating a new identity or aligning brand with spatial design, our approach ensures every brand touchpoint feels intentional, distinct, and deeply connected to its culture.
Developed as a speculative project for a growing AI design consultancy, this workplace concept explores how creative teams interact with emerging technologies in a tactile, material-driven environment. All framed by a palette of raw steel, exposed joinery, and natural timber finishes. The open-plan layout encourages transparency and quick iteration, while custom metal shelving and wood-framed partitions define flexible zones without closing off energy or visibility. Warm lighting, natural grain, and industrial accents work together to balance the digital intensity of the team’s tools. This creates a grounded, purposeful space that supports both focused development and creative play.
This concept for a new town hall centres on local identity and sustainability, using materials sourced directly from the surrounding area. The design reflects the civic role of the building while fostering a strong connection to place, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary forms. Inside, open public spaces, flexible meeting rooms, and a central atrium create a welcoming environment for civic engagement. The result is a town hall that feels rooted in its context, both materially and socially, serving as a modern anchor for community life.
This conceptual workspace was developed for an in-house design studio within a contemporary art museum. The goal was to create a flexible, collaborative environment that supports exhibition development, curatorial research, and public engagement initiatives. The layout blends open creative zones with enclosed project labs, supporting both hands-on making and focused planning. Material choices reflect the museum’s identity. These materials create a calm, gallery-adjacent atmosphere. Integrated storage, and digital display areas support iterative, cross-disciplinary workflows between curators, designers, and fabricators. The result is a space where ideas can move fluidly from sketch to installation.
This concept reimagines a former office-school building as a dynamic mixed-use development that blends living, learning, and community engagement. The existing structure is adapted to include residential units and co-working spaces alongside a nursery, flexible educational spaces, and a retained auditorium repurposed for events and cultural programming. The ground floor is activated with public-facing uses such as a café and workshop areas, creating a social hub for both residents and the wider community. The design emphasizes adaptability, intergenerational use, and the revitalization of underutilised urban fabric.
This signage concept was developed for a multi-tenant office hub designed to foster collaboration across creative and tech teams. The goal was to create a unified wayfinding system that reflects the energy of the workspace while guiding visitors and staff with clarity. Inspired by the rhythm of movement through shared environments, the signage features a modular grid system, bold typography, and high-contrast color blocking. Materials like powder-coated steel, matte acrylic, and digital display elements were selected for durability and visual consistency. Every element is built to scale as the space evolves.
This speculative installation was designed for a contemporary art museum exploring the role of technology in storytelling and audience engagement. The concept merges spatial design with digital interaction, using responsive environments to bring hidden narratives to life. Visitors move through a series of ambient zones triggered by motion, sound, and gesture. The installation was conceived as both exhibit and infrastructure, with modular components allowing for future curatorial adaptation. Material tactility, sensory lighting, and seamless tech integration create a meditative yet immersive experience that blurs the line between viewer and participant.
